We’re looking for the first member of our finance team to lay the foundation for financial operations at Clockwise. This is an opportunity to build our internal accounting processes from scratch, with the support of our external accounting partner.

What you'll do

  • Lead month end close, financial reporting, internal controls and scaling accounting operations in conjunction with our external accounting partner
  • Prepare and review month-end close and monthly financial reports; provide insights and analysis to the leadership team
  • Work with cross functional teams to identify and solve problems or areas for improvement in our processes
  • Manage the invoice creation to account receivable process from end to end
  • Own accounts payable, including revamping the process for expense approvals, and ensuring our vendors are paid on time
  • Own payroll processing & accuracy
  • Partner with our external accounting partner on everything related to taxes
  • Manage Quickbooks and our future transition to Netsuite (or other ERP) down the road
  • Opportunity to build, lead and manage a team as we grow

About you

  • 4+ years of accounting experience, with experience at an established accounting firm handling multiple clients and at least 1 year of SaaS business accounting experience
  • You’re a self starter who is excited to be the founding member of the Clockwise finance team
  • You’re strong quantitatively (an Excel master), but you’re also a good communicator
  • You’re always looking for ways to improve how we operate, through new processes, tools or education
  • Experience building and managing a team

Clockwise is currently working remotely in accordance with San Francisco’s “Stay Home” ordinance.
